iPass Cancellation

When applying for an iPass cancellation, the card's selling price is non-refundable. The card must be presented for the locking process before the contract can be terminated, and the remaining amount in the card will be returned.

Precautions

1. If the card is damaged but the chip data are readable or the card number on the exterior is identifiable, the contract can be terminated, and the remaining amount will be returned after the card is verified by the iPASS Corporation.
2. Only in the case of card termination can the iPass's entire or partial remaining amount be returned.
3. Once the contract is terminated and the card is locked, it cannot be used again. To resume card use, the cardholder has to pay a handling fee of TWD 20.

About the fee of contract termination:

1. When terminating a contract and requesting a refund of the entire remaining amount in the iPass, the cardholder shall pay the iPass Corporation TWD 20 as the fee of contract termination. However, if the cardholder has used the card at least 5 times and for 3 months or longer, he or she is exempt from the aforesaid fee.
2. The iPASS Corporation can charge the cardholder the aforesaid fee or deduct it from the iPass remaining amount.
3. For example, if someone no longer wishes to use the iPass and request a refund of the remaining TWD 100 in the iPass at a Taoyuan Metro station, and the card was used less than 5 times, the refund amount = remaining amount TWD 100 - termination fee TWD 20 = TWD 80.

*For remaining amount exceeding TWD 3,001, the refund cannot be made in cash. In such case, the cardholder shall provide a photocopy of the front of his or her passbook, and the iPASS Corporation will process the refund via bank transfer.
